The holiday season is a time of reflecting on the year and connecting with our family, friends and loved ones in extra special ways.

My way to give back and say thank you to my patients for their faith, trust (and steady income!) is to send a holiday card from myself and my family. This sets the tone of both thankfulness for their business and a reminder that they are helping both you and your family because of their business.

I usually send a non-religious card like, “Wishing You All Of The Joys of the Holiday Season” or something similar. On the inside I write a more personalized note thanking them for their business and writing something specific about their family for example,

“Carla,

It has been a pleasure working with you this year. I appreciate your hard work and commitment to speech therapy. You have made a great deal of progress in the past 4 months; I am very proud of you.

I hope that you, John and the kids have a wonderful Christmas with your family in New Hampshire!

Warm wishes,

Jena”

This simple and easy task can validate the personal relationship (outside of the therapy realm) and increase the warm feelings they already have for you.

    Hi Jena,
I did the same thing this past holiday season and will continue to do it in the future. I also get my clients(children) a small birthday gift, just another little way to say thanks and we appreciate your business!
